Out-of-School Children Education Program (PEDP-4) Orientation Workshop

The One-Day Orientation Workshop on the Out-of-School Children Education Program (PEDP-4), Sub-Component 2.5, was organized to strengthen the implementation of the program and enhance collaboration among government officials, education administrators, and other stakeholders. The workshop focused on creating greater awareness of the program’s objectives and ensuring effective coordination to provide quality education opportunities for children who are currently out of school.

The workshop brought together representatives from relevant government departments, the education sector, and local administration to discuss the goals, implementation strategies, and expected outcomes of the program. Participants were introduced to the importance of identifying out-of-school children, improving access to education, and supporting their successful transition into the formal education system.

Throughout the sessions, discussions covered key topics such as community engagement, stakeholder responsibilities, monitoring mechanisms, and strategies for improving enrollment and retention. The workshop also highlighted the importance of collaboration between local authorities, educational institutions, and community organizations to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive quality primary education.

Interactive discussions allowed participants to exchange ideas, address implementation challenges, and share practical recommendations for strengthening the program. The workshop reinforced the commitment of all stakeholders to promoting inclusive education, reducing school dropout rates, and ensuring that no child is left behind.

By enhancing awareness, coordination, and local capacity, the orientation workshop contributed to the successful implementation of the Primary Education Development Program (PEDP-4) and supported the broader goal of providing equitable and accessible education for all children.
